Case Study: Microsoft Health AI
In January of 2020, Microsoft launched a new initiative to tackle some of the toughest challenges in health by collaborating with nonprofits and researchers and providing access to AI and expertise called AI for Health. To get the word out about their new program, the president of Microsoft, Brad Smith, live streamed an announcement introducing the $60 million, five-year philanthropic plan.
With news that important, Microsoft needed to find a way to get the word out and ensure the announcement was seen. The team at Microsoft wanted to reach beyond their usual email lists and hit a net new audience. They engaged with the Live Media Labs team to guarantee an audience on the day of their event.
With the Live Media Labs team at the wheel, Microsoft drove over 300,000 viewers to their live keynote. They saw a 16% engagement rate as people across the country tuned in for their event.
